About Stanford Compression Forum

Stanford Compression Forum (SCF)
SCF is a collaboration between academic and industrial leaders in the fields of Data Compression. We guide the development of new and improved ways to model and compress the data the world is amassing. Some examples include human genome sequencing, music, and video compression.
The Forum’s mission is to:
- facilitate research and collaborations
- expedite the transfer of academic research into technology
- supply academia with timely research problems, and
- support learning and training in the field of compression
